(MORE: One Graphic, 16 Years of Tornado Terror in Moore) Rescue efforts were hampered Wednesday night by nasty weather that followed the initial round of severe storms. Several others were injured, and many of the park's homes were destroyed. Authorities identified the man as Arian Christopher Lakey, 41, according to the Tulsa World. One man was killed at the River Oaks Mobile Home Park in Sand Springs Wednesday night when a mobile home collapsed, reported. "We got in our vehicles, ran home and got in our shelters." "I don't know how close it was to us, but it looked like it was coming toward us, and so we didn't take any chances," said Don Ruffin, Moore resident, in an Associated Press report. The community is cleaning up from the damaging twisters that hit Wednesday night, but this time, residents who still had memories of the terrors of May 2013 were sure to play it safe. Crews said they will go back out to the damaged areas Friday to dive deeper into the damage survey and determine exactly how many separate tornadoes were in progress, and how strong they were. The NWS confirmed multiple twisters hit the Oklahoma City suburb, with the strongest being a low-end EF2. Moore received another blow less than two years after an EF5 tornado wreaked havoc on the town. In the Tulsa suburb of Sand Springs, a confirmed EF2 killed one person and injured 30 more, the NWS said. The first fatality occurred in a Sand Springs mobile home park when a mobile home collapsed.Īs of Friday morning, National Weather Service survey crews have confirmed at least three tornadoes hit Oklahoma Wednesday night. A third person was killed in Norman, according to police, after a man's vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a utility poll during the storm. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said two people were killed in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, when they were washed off of a bridge, the Associated Press reported. The death toll in Oklahoma from last Wednesday's severe storms rose to four Monday evening.
